Gunter Demnig, son of a member of the Wehrmacht, laid a stumbling block on the sidewalk in front of the main entrance to WMF in September 2015 with the text:
” JULY 1944 – APRIL 1945 – FORCED LABORERS FOR THE GERMAN ARMAMENT – WMF – MORE THAN 800 JEWISH WOMEN AND GIRLS OF THE KZ – SATELLITE CAMP NATZWEILER – STRUTHOF IN GEISLINGEN WALK THIS WAY TO THE FACTORY EVERY DAY – THEY SHARE THE FATE OF MORE THAN 2000 FORCED LABORERS OF THE WMF – DEPORTED – DEGRADED – EXPLOITED – MANY OF THEM LOSE THEIR LIVES“.
